Prof. Dr. Mustafa AKBULUT

Mustafa Akbulut was born in 1972. He graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in1994. He had studied as a Research Assistant in the same department from 1994 to 2000. He completed Master and PhD degree from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, in 1997 and 2003, respectively. Between 2000-2010, he studied as a Researcher in Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute. He carried out different projects about Persimmon, Berries, Cherry Laurel and other fruits. He studied as Coordinator of Turkish National Persimmon Breeding Project from 2001 to 2010. He developed 8 Turkish Persimmon Cultivars (Akbulut, Onur, Yesilirmak, Coruh 1, Turkay, Irem, Ayder, and Kaplan). He was appointed as an assistant professor in the Organic Farming Program in Recep Tayyip Erdogan University in 2010. He received Associate Professor Degree in 2012 and Professor Degree in 2017. He established Department of Horticulture in same university in 2013. He has studied as Head of Horticultural Department since 2013. He studied as a Senator in Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (2013-2016), as Vice Dean in Faculty of Agriculture and Nature Sciences (2013-2016), as Director of Blueberry Application and Research Center (2010-2015), and Secretary in Organic Farming Congress (in 2015, Rize). He joined short term courses and scientific visits in different countries. He has carried out as member of different academic committees and as an editor in same scientific journals. He published 100 articles. He is also member of ISHS (36137) and Turkish Society for Horticultural Science.
