Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosario Muleo

Dr Rosario Muleo is full professor and senior scientist in horticulture and genomics at the University of Tuscia (Italy). His research is focused on understanding the genetic and epigenetic regulation of complex traits the plant development, adaptation and production of vegetables and fruit quality, for developing new varieties with better characteristics more efficiently. Dr Muleo directs the olive genome sequencing Italian project, selection of genotypes resistant to abiotic stress, the development of diagnostic systems for genetic and epigenetic analyses in unknown sequences, unravelling communication between plants and changing phase, and clarify the genetic control of fruit traits, including antioxidants, flesh red, freshness and flavorings.
