Invited Speakers:

This symposium aims to provide opportunities for those involved in the research and development on abiotic and biotic stresses in tropical and sub-tropical vegetable production to discuss and share the innovative and novel studies to understand current state of knowledge, present and future threats and challenges, to prepare the roadmap for abiotic and biotic stress tolerance mechanism(s), and to provide a platform for networking among the participants for future multidisciplinary research and collaboration.

The symposium will contribute to broaden the knowledge and understanding on abiotic and biotic stress factors between academia, research and development organizations and private sector. Round table discussions will identify knowledge gaps and new research and extension needs. It will also identify researchable questions and ideas, and recent technical know-hows that could be transferred to farmers and other stakeholders engaged in tropical and sub-tropical vegetable production. The event will result in new partnerships through networking activities due to interactive sessions.
