Please Click ROSA link for Abstract Submission

The Symposium aims to provide IHC2018 as a forum to promote dialogue and exchange of experience among participants on education, training and consultancy in the field of horticulture. There will be 3 panels, and each panel will be composed of 1.5-hour sessions preceded by an invited presentation. The aim is to debate on specific topics that have global or regional significance and contribute to the ISHS strategy. VIII International Symposium on Education, Research Training and Consultancy will provide panels for discussion inviting the floor to be part of the discussion. The topics proposed are:

  1. What horticulture still needs in education and training?
  2. What are the best ways to teach and train horticulture?
  3. Lessons learned from global or regional networks?

The outcomes of the discussions in the three panels will be summarized and an action plan on ‘how ISHS can contribute to education, training and consultancy in horticulture and related fields' will be delivered.

A call for communication per topic will be organized during the coming months, and among the abstracts submitted (or commissioned in case of no applications), the scientific committee for this Symposium will select the panelists who will have 5 minutes to present their case study and debate with the keynote speaker, the other panelists and the floor. They can prepare a poster in addition, and their manuscript if accepted by the reviewers will be published in the Acta Horticulturae.
